Spiš Castle at Night: Majestic Exterior Lighting with iGuzzini

We present an extraordinary project of exterior lighting of Spiš Castle , one of the largest castle complexes in Central Europe and the pride of Slovakia, inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List . This monumental castle, majestically towering over Spišské Podhradie, deserved lighting worthy of its historical significance.

We implemented the first lighting of Spiš Castle using top-of-the-line iGuzzini luminaires back in 2002. The goal was not only to provide functional lighting for the area, but above all to artistically and sensitively underline the dramatic power and architectural details of this medieval ruin even after dark.

Since the initial installation, we have carried out several revisions to the lighting of Spiš Castle , constantly optimizing it with the latest technologies and with respect for the historical heritage. Each revision has brought improvements in energy efficiency, light beam precision and overall visual effect, so that the castle is visible from miles away while being protected from light pollution.

The iGuzzini luminaires used guarantee weather resistance and long-term reliability, which is key for such unique outdoor installations.
