Krásna Hôrka in Light: Exterior Lighting of a Cultural Monument in Slovakia
We are proud to present the project of exterior lighting of the Krásna Hôrka Castle , the pride of the Krásnohorské Podhradie and one of the most important cultural monuments of Slovakia . This majestic castle, which was the home of three important families and is located near the town of Rožňava , received new lighting in 2003 , which underlined its historical and architectural value.
Our task was to create lighting for Krásna Hôrka Castle that would respect its rich past while making it visible and impressive even after dark. The project was designed with an emphasis on:
- Highlighting the architecture: Light beams were precisely directed to highlight the castle’s unique towers, walls, and defensive features, bringing its silhouette to life in the night landscape.
- Creating a dramatic atmosphere: By combining different intensities and angles of lighting, we achieved an impressive effect that enhances the historical atmosphere and mystery of the castle.
- Durability and reliability: Durable luminaires capable of withstanding weather conditions and ensuring long-term operation are key to outdoor lighting of historic buildings.
