AIRPORT

The interior lighting of Košice Airport, implemented in 2005, plays a key role in creating the first impression for visitors arriving in the eastern part of Slovakia. The architectural design behind it acad. arch. Ing. Karol Gregor , emphasized the functionality and aesthetics of lighting to make the airport spaces appear airy, clear, and pleasant.

Thoughtful lighting guides passengers through the terminal, ensures sufficient light in the check-in areas, and creates a calming atmosphere upon arrival or before departure. The selection of lighting fixtures and their placement have been carefully considered to support passengers’ orientation and visual comfort. Interior lighting thus contributes to an overall positive experience of traveling through Košice Airport.
